In 1993, the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks allocated funds to develop a Master Plan for the expansion of the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. In 1994, the master planning team conducted a series of site meetings and workshops to review the existing plans with the Department of Recreation and Parks and Aquarium staff, representatives of the CMA Volunteers and CMA Friends, and members of the interested public. The results of the workshops and meetings were developed into this document.
