ePACT for Youth Activities
The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks is proud to announce our partnership with the ePACT Network.
ePACT is a health and safety software solution we use to collect medical and emergency contact information, replacing paper registration forms. It will also ensure we have a way to communicate with you in the event of an unexpected situation by sending texts to patrons to those who provide their mobile numbers.
Why are we using ePACT?
- To save you time - With ePACT, you only need to complete your child's information once, and then verify it is still correct for additional programs and subsequent years.
- Improved privacy and security - Eliminating paper forms ensures that your key information is safe and secure. ePACT maintains the same levels of security as online banking, and limits access only to the administrators we assign for enhanced privacy.
- Better support - ePACT makes it easy for your to share comprehensive health and emergency contact details, so we can provide the best support to your child. PLus, you can update this anytime, and we will automatically receive those new details.
- Timely communication - Families have the ability to add in verified home and cell phone numbers as well as additional preferred emails. With these added communication types, families will receive updated communications from programs via text, phone calls, and emails regarding inclement weather updates, program closures, late pickups from field trips, and more.
- Emergency contacts and approved pickups - You will be able to add emergency contacts and the names of those who may - and may not - pick up your children at any time for camp activities. They will be invited to create their own ePACT accoutns if they wish, but it is not mandatory.

- Your child's current medical information. You will be prompted once a year to validate their existing information within ePACT; changes can also be made at any time during the year if information changes.
- Your contact information. If this information changes at any time, you can update it in one place, and it will automatically be updated across all programs.

Organizations use ePACT to collect the same information that they previously collected on paper forms. This ranges from medical information, like allergies, health conditions and medications, to contact details for guardians and emergency contacts.
It is only accessible by our administrative team and the camp provider for your specific program. Once the program ends, access is revoked.
ePACT provides organizations with different administrator privileges to protect information and enhance privacy. For example, front line staff, supervisors and administrators can be assigned to view records for all members or just the ones they are responsible for (e.g. a camp manager can only see the campers for a specific session or location).
