A partnership is a collaboration with an individual, group, organization or business that has a similar mission and goal as RAP that expands or enhances existing programs and services through an event, activity, program or facility improvement.

Why should I partner with RAP?
The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks is a world renowned leader in recreation that provides recreational programs to over 3.5 million residents. Our inventory of parks and recreation facilities includes 256 ball fields, 368 playgrounds, 61 pools, 14 skate facilities, 12 museums, 2 beaches, 9 dog parks, 31 senior citizen centers, 321 tennis courts and more. Los Angeles is recognized as one of the nation’s most diverse cities and as a RAP partner you will have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of residents and visitors by expanding and enhancing recreation programs and services. How do I become a partner?
To become a partner with RAP you must first submit an application and written proposal. Your application and proposal will be reviewed by the Partnership staff. If the information provided on the application meets the Partnership Criteria and Standards, you will be contacted for a meeting.
Is there an application fee?
No, there is no application fee when submitting a partnership request.
What is RAP looking for in a partner?
An ideal RAP partner provides opportunities in the following areas:
- Recreational programs
- Sports programs and clinics
- Support of museums and cultural programs
- Community gardens and other open space utilization
- After school programs
- Activities and services for seniors
- Life skills and personal development opportunities
- Acquisitions of parkland, capital development and park improvements
