What Telescope is Right for Your Family?
Find out at Griffith Observatory's FREE workshops:
Pre-Holiday Telescope Buyer's Guide
Post-Holiday Telescope User's Guide
Bring the heavens a little closer to your loved ones this holiday season with the gift of a telescope. Let Griffith Observatory help you learn which telescope would best fit your needs and budget. Then come back after the holidays with your new telescope, and we'll help you learn how to set it up, use it, and get the most out of your sky watching experience! Both workshops are free! |

Pre-Holiday Telescope Buyer's Guide
The
activity starts with a presentation in the Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon
Theater at 7:30 p.m. with a presentation on telescope and binocular
basics by Griffith Observatory's Astronomical Observer Anthony Cook.
Representatives from Celestron, Explore Scientific, and Meade
Instruments will be on hand to show you this season's best picks.
Finish the evening on the Observatory's front lawn where, weather
permitting, you can chat with our experts and even try out a few
telescopes! Admission to the workshop is free but limited to the 200-seat capacity of the theater. |
