Public Information: The auditorium has a seating capacity of 250. The auditorium also acts as a community room. Encino Park and Encino Woman's Club are part of Encino Community Center. Facility Features: Auditorium, community room, kitchen, old firehouse as co-op pre-school, stage.
The Encino Park is located one block west of Balboa Blvd. and includes a basketball court, two tennis courts, a modern children's play area, picnic tables, barbeques, and the new Tricycle and Wheelchair Track. Be sure to stop by for a test drive. The park houses the Encino Parent Co-op Nursery (818.788.4582) and the Traditional Music Society (818.817.7756) through the Department of Cultural Affairs. Our facility also includes the Encino Woman’s Club. We are currently not accepting reservations for private engagements due to renovation. Friends of Encino Park is a non-profit 501c(3) organization that is able to offer wonderful sponsorship opportunities for businesses and great fundraising events to help enhance the Encino Community Center and Encino Park. Their current project is to raise funds for the improvement of the stage lighting at the Community Center, which will enhance center programs, such as drama productions, dance shows, and class presentations. Class Registration Information - Winter Classes Classes will run from Sunday, January 8 - Saturday, March 17, 2012, 10 weeks, unless otherwise stated. A majority of the spaces available for any class that does not require instructor approval will be available for online registration, December 8 - 11, 2011. Walk-in registration for all classes will begin when the Encino Community Center opens at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2011. We will be closed on all holidays. CLASSES THAT HAVE NOT MET THE MINIMUM REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS BY JANUARY 2, 2012 WILL BE CANCELLED. Staff reserves the right to cancel or combine classes if minimum enrollment is not met. No enrollment or transfers will be allowed after January 21, 2012. Students must meet the class age requirements by the beginning date of the session. REFUND POLICY: Once the session begins at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2012, no refunds will be issued unless a class is cancelled by the Community Center. A non-refundable 15% administrative fee will be assessed by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks for any patron granted a refund, change, or transfer per class. CAMP ENCINO WINTER CAMP: Camp Encino will be offering a 3 week Winter Camp; December 19, 2011 - January 7, 2012. Camp is for children ages 5-12 years. Camp is available Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Activities include arts and crafts, games, drama, music, super choice workshops, science, cooking, field trip by chartered bus, special guests, special events, Friday lunch & more! Wednesday is strictly a field trip travel day for Camp Encino Day Camp. No other camp programs will be available when Day Camp is scheduled for a field trip. Extended care will be available from 7:30 a.m. - 8:50 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. for an additional fee per day. Please call Encino Community Center for more information.
