*** More information about CAMP HIGH SIERRA
Camp High Sierra is owned and operated by the Department of Recreation and Parks. The camp is staff by well qualified, experienced people. Camp High Sierra is a family-oriented facility. When visiting the camp, the campers must be aware of the diversity of the wildlife sometimes seen in camp: bears, coyotes, raccoons, deer, etc. So please campers, please be aware and be careful. The camp is situated amid towering snow-clad moutains in the pictures que Mammoth Lakes region, and is open during the summer months for family camper, trailer, cabin and tent camping. Amenitites include tables and stoves at each campsite, as well as hot shower and sanitary facilities, and a historic recreation lodge. The surrounding scenic areas are perfect for photographs, as well as opportunities for hiking, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, backpack trips and bicycling.
Dogs are welcome in camp, but must remain with you at all times. They must also be on leash when they are outdoors, inside with you at night, with you when you are away from your cabin or campsite, and always kept as quiet as possible.
