Public Information: Admission to the park is free. The Arboretum is unstaffed and located in Elysian Park. Any questions can be answered by calling the number above and speaking to the acting Park Maintenance Supervisor. Founded in 1893 by the Los Angeles Horticultural Society, more than 1,000 varieties from around the world can be found. Declared Historic Cultural Monument in 1967.
