The two day outings are open to all families, single parents, friends, singles, senior citizen, and small groups. We encourage your participation in our activities, and hope new friends are made, and everyone feels comfortable. Our job is to provide the opportunity to experience the thrill of nature, with some of the comforts of home. Mom, you don't have to cook. It's safe, it's fun, and it's good for everyone!

Our purpose is to provide the opportunity for you to enjoy the beauty of the area, as well as the fun of meeting new friends with similar interests. We have been providing family outings since 1973.

The program is designed to include all ages, in activities that relate to nature, the environment, to each other, and meeting new friends. You can do as much or as little as you want. We have seen it all. The program includes one night's lodging in a comfortable, heated cabin, and four family-style meals served in a rustic dining hall.

Also planned are hikes, games, relaxing time, music, campfires, and related activities. Two new shower/restroom facilities are available for your convenience.

You must provide your own transportation to and from camp, in addition to bedding and any personal items you may need. Registration and cabin assignments begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, and we finish on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Reservations are accepted by mail only on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Camp Seely is owned and operated by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks under permit from the National Forest Service, and is one of seven facilities operated by the Camping Section. Camp Seely is located in the San Bernardino Mountains, 85 miles from City Hall, nestled in a forest of tall pines, at an elevation of 4,200 feet. The camp is situated on Highway 138, four miles east of Lake Silverwood, and close to Lake Gregory and the Village of Crestline.

The facility includes 64 cabins, a large kitchen and dining hall, rustic lodge, modern restroom/shower facilities, playing fields, game room and children's area.
